As people are aware now, the aerial salute to healthcare workers across the state did not take place Friday. Inclement weather prevented the planned salute by the Wyoming Air National Guard. Two C-130 “Hercules” transports were to have flown in tandem over the hospitals and clinics throughout Wyoming Friday. But due to the low ceiling in many areas of the state, the mission was cancelled. Asked if it would be rescheduled, the 153rd Airlift Wing commander responded, “We will not be able to reschedule as today was the only day the Wyoming Air National Guard was approved to conduct the flyovers.”
