Jackson Hole Firefighters responded to a garage fire about 11:30 Friday night, and were able to contain it to about 1/3 of the structure. Battalion Chief Mike Moyer says the fire was reported by a neighbor who spotted smoke coming from the detached structure. Moyer says about 20 firefighters participated in the effort, led by units from Teton Village who effected an initial knock-down of the fire, before being joined by the others from Wilson, Adam’s Canyon and town. Altogether, there were three engines and three water tankers involved in the suppression. Moyer described the structure as a six-bay garage, and he says fortunately, there were no vehicles in the portion that burned. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
