It has been more than a week since a catastrophic fire destroyed four businesses in the heart of Gardiner, Montana and the historic buildings that housed them. The Two-bit Saloon, Rosie’s Bistro, Montana Raft Company and the Blue Goose Saloon were destroyed in a fire that has been ruled accidental although a precise source has not been determined. The lost buildings date back to 1900, 1905 and 1920 respectively. The oldest had apartments upstairs that had at one time served as a brothel for miners in a nearby mining camp. The owner of the group of buildings says he is still unsure what his next step will be.
