Gasoline prices continue to fall in Jackson Hole while the national average rose slightly. Amerine Woodyard of the Energy Information Administration in Washington D.C. says the national average for a gallon of unleaded gasoline is now just under $2.26 per gallon.
That’s up 4 tenths of a penny from a week ago. Pump prices were highest in the West Coast states at 2.96 a gallon, down 2.3 cents from a week ago. Prices were lowest in the Gulf Coast region at 1.91 a gallon, up 4 tenths of a penny.
Closer to home, Gasbuddy reports Wyoming’s state average has again dropped 8¢from last week. The state average is now $2.36 for a gallon of unleaded regular, with the lowest price – $1.93 a gallon – found in Gillette. Here in Jackson, the prices were down 6¢from last week with the average of prices surveyed by Gasbuddy currently at $2.45 per gallon. Prices in the survey ranged from $2.39 to $2.76 a gallon.
