The Jackson Giants snapped a 5-game losing streak with a big win at home Monday afternoon. Giants starter Parker Bleggi was in command on the hill for Jackson. The hard-throwing right-hander shut down Idaho’s Hillcrest Knights while his team got their bats buzzing. When Bleggi left the game after 7 innings of work, he had surrendered just 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 10. Quentin Bruno and Connor Lang supplied all the offense Jackson needed. Bruno finished with a single, double, and triple—narrowly missing hitting for the cycle on his last at bat when he flied out deep to left-center. Lang went 4-5 with 3 RBI on the afternoon. Bleggi helped his own cause at the plate with a 3-4 performance. The win moves the Giants to 4-8 on the season. With a home tournament up next this weekend.
