The man who for years was the voice of the Jackson Hole Broncs, Danny Mayer, was recently in an accident near Salmon, Idaho, just prior to Memorial Day weekend. In the accident, his wheel-chair accessible van was totaled, he had to be life-flighted to a hospital in Missoula, Montana, and he had to undergo his 54th major surgery. After over a month in the hospital, he was released early July with a tremendous amount of financial responsibilities to replace the van, pay medical expenses including life-flight, and more. Members of the community have established a Go Fund Me campaign to help Mayer meet those financial challenges. The organizers are hoping to raise the money to help with some of the financial burden. Anyone who would like to help in other ways, should contact Allie Mayer, Tony Mayer, or Mike Mayer about ways they might be able to lend some assistance.
