
Grand Teton National Park has released the statistics for visitation to the park in June, indicating that the month eclipsed all previous records for June visitation. Altogether, Grand Teton National Park hosted an estimated 752,114 recreational visits in June of 2021.
Not surprisingly, this is a 61% increase from June 2020 when 468,201 people visited the park for recreation, but it is also a 20% increase from June 2019, and surpasses June of 2017 when 637,683 recreational visitors entered the park for the highest visitation until this year.
Camping in the park increased 36% in June 2021 compared with June 2019, while backcountry camping increased 73%. Trail use in the park increased 38% in June, compared with June 2019, on trails where use is counted.
