Grand Teton National Park invites families and aspiring Junior Rangers of all ages to celebrate Junior Ranger Day on May 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center in Moose, Wyoming. This free public event, supported by community partners and the Grand Teton Association, features indoor and outdoor activities designed to inspire curiosity and foster a connection with nature. The theme focuses on mysterious animals, their remarkable adaptations like camouflage and heightened senses, and the mythical stories linking wildlife to human culture, offering a fun and educational spring kickoff.
Attendees can enjoy park-themed games, hands-on learning stations, and interactions with park rangers, who will showcase rescue vehicles such as fire engines, patrol vehicles, and snowplows. Participants can earn an official Junior Ranger Day badge and explore educational exhibits from partners including Teton Science Schools, Cougar Fund, National Elk Refuge, Teton Raptor Center, Wyoming Stargazing, Bridger-Teton National Forest, Teton County Library, and Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation. The Grand Teton Association will provide a 15% discount on all bookstore purchases during the event, enhancing the experience for visitors.
