Grand Teton National Park has opened the 14-mile section of Teton Park Road between Taggart Lake Trailhead and Signal Mountain Lodge for spring recreation as of April 2, 2025, in Moose, Wyoming. The road, cleared of snow, is now accessible for walking, running, biking, and skating. The section from Taggart Lake Trailhead to Cottonwood Picnic Area is shared with vehicles, with a 10-minute loading zone at Cottonwood to avoid traffic.
Plowing and spring operations continue, with visitors urged to watch for park vehicles, heavy equipment, and snow or ice on roads. The road will open to vehicles on May 1st, weather permitting, alongside the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center, operating daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The multi-use pathway will open once mostly clear of snow. Entrance fees are required, payable at Moose and Moran stations or Recreation.gov. Antler collection remains prohibited within park boundaries.
Visitors should stay 100 yards from bears, carry bear spray, drive cautiously, pack food and water, use restrooms at designated areas, and follow Leave No Trace principles. Dogs are permitted on leashes, with waste disposal required.
