A Sunday back yard barbeque at a South Park home became far more excitement than the family bargained for. Heat from a gas grill next to the home set the siding of the house on fire. Fire Chief Brady Hansen says homeowner quickly extinguished the fire, but contacted the fire department to have them assure the fire had not gone behind the siding or overhang. Units from Station Seven and Hoback Junction responded to the call, and after inspection, determined there was no extension of the fire. Fire officials remind homeowners that barbeque grills should always be kept at a distance from the sides of structures.
