Grizzly 399 and her cubs have been moving south in the last couple of days and were spotted yesterday in South Park.
In a Facebook Post, The Lockhart Cattle Company showed a video of the bears foraging on ranch land.
Wildlife officials urge caution among drivers in the area, and suggest residents be careful not to have attractants outside their homes including pet food, bird feeders or garbage cans, and be watchful as they walk their dogs. Sara DiRienzo of Wyoming Game and fish emphasizes that people need to give the bears plenty of space and allow them to return to their normal habitat. Particularly, DiRienzo
says, do not approach the bears for a photo op. It would legally be considered harassing the bears which is a federal offense.
The Wyoming Game and Fish are actively monitoring the bears.
