The grizzly bear that attacked and killed a 40 year old father of four has yet to be located in southern Montana.
The Livingston, Montana man was reported missing on a hike south of Chico Hot Springs in the Six Mile Creek area of Paradise Valley, Montana. He was found dead Friday by searchers after more than a day of combing the area.
Park County Sheriff Brad Bichler says the man, identified as 40-year-old Craig Clouatre was killed in an apparent encounter with a grizzly bear. Clouatre had been shed hunting at the time of his disappearance. Clouatre was married and the father of four children.
Bichler says searchers found Clouatre’s pack, and tracks in the general vicinity of where the body was found but have found no sign of the bear.
