Visitation to Grand Teton National Park last month set a record for the number of people entering the park for recreation. According to the monthly report on visitations released by the Natural Resource, Stewardship and Science division of the National Park Service, 558,788 entered the park for recreation for nearly a 16% increase over last year. That report shows total visits to the park including both recreational and non-recreational activity was 705,251 which is an increase of about 8 ¼ % over September last year. Park statisticians noted that September saw no measurable snow during the month and consequently, the visitors continued to come. So far in 2018, the park has seen 4,461,928 visits which is a 3 2/3 % increase over last year.
