Health Department’s Vaccine Clinic Switching to Moderna

Teton County Health Department’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic will be  now be providing the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine for all first doses beginning Wednesday, July 7, 2021. The vaccine clinic will still have the Pfizer vaccine available for those who are under 18 and for individuals who need a second dose. The Johnson and Johnson vaccine will also be available at the COVID-19 vaccine clinic.
All of the COVID-19 vaccines approved for emergency use authorization in the United States have shown to be effective at providing protection against COVID-19 including the COVID-19 variants that are in circulation. All of the COVID-19 vaccines have been shown to reduce hospitalization and death from COVID-19. The Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines both require two doses and the Johnson and Johnson vaccine requires only one dose. Both Moderna and the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines have been approved for emergency use authorization in individuals 18 and older. The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine has been approved for emergency use authorization in individuals 12 and older. 
Beginning this week, the COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Health Department will only be holding Saturday clinics on the last Saturday of the month. The next Saturday clinic will be held on July 31, 2021 from 8:30am- 12:30pm. The weekly COVID-19 vaccine clinic schedule will be: 
Wednesdays: 3:00pm-7:00pm 
Thursdays: 8:30am-12:00pm and 1:00pm- 3:30pm 
Fridays: 8:30am-12:00pm and 1:00pm -5:30pm 
To book an appointment, see the clinic schedule, and learn more about the COVID-19 vaccines please visit, www.tetoncountywy.gov/covidvax. Walk-ins are still welcome at the COVID-19 vaccine clinic anytime the clinic is open except for the last 30 minutes of the day. Individuals who are under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their consent form and must be accompanied by someone over 18 to their appointment. If you have received a first dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine somewhere outside of Teton County and need a second dose, please bring your COVID vaccine card. Individuals who have received the Moderna vaccine must wait at least 24 days before you schedule or walk-in for your second dose. Individuals who have received the Pfizer vaccine must wait at least 17 days before you schedule or walk-in for your second dose. 
Teton County Health Department encourages anyone who is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine to get vaccinated so that they can protect themself and their family, friends, and neighbors from COVID-19.
