The Park County Montana Health Department has assured residents there that there currently are no known cases of coronavirus or measles anywhere in the State of Montana. A suspected case of coronavirus in Bozeman earlier this month proved negative. In a statement released by the Health Department yesterday, officials said they have met with their core partners to prepare for the possibility of a widespread outbreak. According to the release, the department’s core partners include Yellowstone National Park, the Montana Department of Health and Human Services, local health care facilities and schools. Still, the Department urges residents to stay informed and take the precautions one would normally take in cold and flu season: avoid close contact with sick people, while sick, limit contact with others as much as possible, stay home if you are sick, cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze, clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with germs, and wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
