Heli Hearing Postponed

A request to appear before the Jackson Hole Airport board regarding an application to base a scenic helicopter tour business there has been postponed at the request of the applicant.
Helicopter pilot Tony Chambers wants to launch a scenic ride business from the Jackson Hole Airport in Grand Teton National Park, but has faced opposition from the park and other conservationists.
Chambers is a Hoback Junction resident who currently hangars his Robinson 44 four-seat helicopter in Pinedale. Chambers says the reason he is requesting to postpone his appearance before the airport board on December 18 is because the town and community has requested more time to close any gaps that remain in his application.
Instead, Chambers is wishing to reschedule on February 17th, thus giving the concerned parties 60 days to consider their concerns with the application. The proposed tours would focus on trips over Bridger Teton National Forest, but would require flying over a portion of the national park to access the airport.
