A Sioux City, South Dakota man died Sunday morning when his car careened off highway 26 east of Moran and proceeded into a grove of trees. According to Highway Patrol Lt. Matthew Brackin, 79-year-old Harold Boss was westbound when witnesses say his car drifted off the road and continued about 200 feet into a grove of trees before striking a tree and coming to a stop. Brackin says efforts at CPR on the scene were unsuccessful. He says while investigation into the crash is continuing, initial indications are that Boss suffered a medical condition prior to the crash, and his death was not likely a result of the accident
