Tip Top Search and Rescue Volunteers in Pinedale were requested to respond to an SOS alert near Seneca Lake Thursday morning. A male had become too weak to walk out after falling ill the previous evening.
Search and Rescue members located the hiking party and flew the sick hiker to the Pinedale Medical Clinic for evaluation and treatment. The man was later released.
Tip Top Search and Rescue reminds back country travelers to be conscientious about staying hydrated in this heat and staying alert to the signs of possible mountain sickness symptoms.
