Travelers who canceled getaways and get-togethers in 2020 because of the COVID pandemic are making up for lost time this year.
AAA Auto Club predicts more than 109-million people will head out of town between December 23rd and January 2nd. That dramatic bounce-back will bring this year’s numbers to 92% of the travel seen in 2019.
AAA Wyoming Spokesperson Aldo Vazquez says, “With vaccines widely available, conditions are much different, and many people feel a greater level of comfort traveling but travelers will still be mindful of the pandemic and the new omicron variant.”
Around Wyoming, it is the season for wintery weather, and road conditions can become icy – so caution on any travel is paramount.
