According to the Wyoming Department of Health, 43 older Teton County residents risk losing services through The Wyoming Home Services Program without a funding commitment for the program by the Wyoming Legislature in the March legislative session.
Statewide, nearly 2,000 residents may lose their home services through the Wyoming Home Services Program without continued funding for the program.
The Home Services program provides help with activities of daily living such as bathing and dressing for those who are in danger of requiring institutionalization.
In Teton County, Wyoming Home Services program services are delivered through the Senior Center of Jackson Hole.
Debate on funding The Wyoming Home Services program and state budget will likely take place in The Wyoming Legislature during the week of March 8th.
