Twenty of Yellowstone National Park’s gray wolves that roamed from the park were shot by hunters in neighboring states in recent months. Fifteen were killed in Montana. The remainder of the wolves died in Idaho and Wyoming.

Yellowstone Superintendent Cam Sholly has urged Montana Governor Greg Gianforte to halt the hunting of wolves in the vicinity of the park.
