The Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department has officially switched over to a 7-day week schedule for winter operations. As of yesterday, local outdoor ice rinks are still under construction, but are anticipated to open at the Fairgrounds and Owen Bircher Park starting Saturday Staff has also come up with a plan to open Powderhorn Ice rink as conditions and resources allow. It will take a little longer to get up and running and will be low on the priority list for grooming during large or prolonged snow events. Keep checking the Parks and Rec website for updates. Meanwhile, there has not yet been enough snow to conduct full-scale grooming on the local ski trails.
