Two Idaho teenagers died in a crash Saturday afternoon involving the car which collided with another driven by a Jackson man.
According to the Idaho State Police, 18-year-old Leah Belknap of Idaho Falls, was driving northbound on 45th East where it intersects with US 26 and continued northbound into the intersection when she was struck by a westbound vehicle on US26 driven by 49-year-old Felipe Lopez-Sandoval, of Jackson, Wyoming.
Belknap’s passenger,19-year-old Bradylee Packer, succumbed to her injuries at the scene while Belknap died after being transported to the hospital. Next of kin has been notified.
Lopez-Sandoval, and his juvenile passenger were also transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
