Despite how green it looks around our region, wildfires are still a concern. A wildfire between Rexburg and Arco on state highway 33 was fully contained yesterday at 6660 acres, involving primarily juniper bushes and short grasses. The fire was first reported July 2nd and is believed human-caused. 107 fire personnel aided by ten engines, one dozer, four hand crews, two water tenders, and one helicopter were deployed to the incident under the coordination of the BLM.
