Illegal Campfires and Poop a Problem in Forest

There has been a slight decrease in both the call volume and campsite crowding on the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Finding a campsite on the forest is easing some. Those campgrounds that are filling, are filling early to mid-afternoon rather than mid-morning.  For the most part, people seem to be obeying the fire restriction order, but there are still a few illegal campfires being found within in dispersed camping areas. As a reminder, campfires are only allowed within approved developed campgrounds and within the boundaries of the Gros Ventre Wilderness and Teton Wilderness.  Fire officials say they continue to find trash and human waste out on the forest.  Visitors are reminded to pack out all trash, and bring a shovel to bury human waste.
