Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling is proposing to make some adjustments to their fees to keep up with rising costs at the facility.
Increased fees at the Trash Transfer Facility, Recycling Center, and the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, starting May 17th.
ISWR basically operates as a business within county government and must cover all operating and capital costs with self-generated revenue.
That money comes from tip fees, the sale of recyclables, donations, grants, and fees for services.
Income has been going down at the facility due to the national economy, inflation, and reduced recycling commodity prices.
Tip fees have not raised at the transfer station since July 1, 2021.
Here you can access the current and proposed fees. At the county website or through a link at Jackson hole radio.com
Public comment will be accepted until May 13th.
