American Humane Society, the country’s first national humane organization, has announced the official start of the 2022 American Humane Hero Dog Awards® campaign.
Last year, three dogs from Wyoming were nominated for the honor. The event will culminate this fall with the star-studded “American Humane Hero Dog Awards” gala on November 11th in Palm Beach, Florida.
Those wishing to make a nomination may submit their candidate to herodogawards.org, and nominate their heroic hound in one of seven categories. Those seven categories include Law Enforcement and Detection Dogs, Military Dogs, Therapy Dogs, Service Dogs, Shelter Dogs, Search and Rescue Dogs, or Guide/Hearing Dogs. The nomination period ends March 16th.
