Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon has declared May 5th through 11th as National Tourism Week in Wyoming. This year’s theme of National Travel and Tourism Week is “Travel Matters,” which seeks to provide a recognition of the innumerable ways in which travel enriches lives and strengthens communities. Executive Director for the Wyoming Office of Tourism Diane Shober says it’s an industry worth celebrating.
With Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks serving as magnet destinations to the state, Shober says travelers discover Wyoming has even more to offer to their experiences.
Each year Shober says domestic and international visitors in Wyoming contribute more than $3.5-billion to the state’s economy, making it the state’s second largest industry.
