The dog park at Teton County Fairgrounds in Jackson will be closed starting on Friday, April 28, 2023, coinciding with the end of winter wildlife closures in Teton County. The last day for public use of the dog park was on April 27.
While waiting to take your dog out to the woods, officials ask that people respect the area wildlife closures until they end on May 1.
You can find the areas affected by the closures on this website: https://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/btnf/home/?cid=fsbdev3_063597&width=full.
Remember that according to Town Ordinance 7.05 Animal Care and Control Regulations, pets must always be leashed or under verbal control within the Town of Jackson. Dogs are not allowed in any Town Parks and are only allowed on pathways when physically leashed. If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail Parks Manager Andy Erskine at aerskine@tetoncountywy.gov.
