Through the first week of extended hours, the Jackson Food Cupboard increased services 70% with 175 visits to help nearly 400 people access nutritious food and supplies. Similarly, rent relief applications to One22 have increased 75% percent over November, following a 54% increase the month before. As a result of the increased traffic, the cupboard will be open every business day for remote and limited in-person appointments throughout the holidays including Christmas Day for take-out meals and groceries, based on a rapid rise in need in our community. No ID, referral, or income verification is required; groceries are available to anyone. On Christmas Day, individually packaged, ready-to-warm turkey dinners are available courtesy of chef Jason Bruni and the Jackson Hole Jewish Community’s volunteer staffing from 10:00 am until noon. No reservations are required.
