The Broncs basketball team began its season with a ton of promise, losing to South Cheyenne by just a bucket 54-52 on Thursday at the Casper Invitational. But the Broncs faced tougher and tougher opponents as the weekend wore on. Jackson went on to suffer losses to Laramie 67-47, and were blitzed by Cheyenne East 78-38 in the final game of the tourney. The Lady Broncs had an even rougher go of it at the same tournament. The Jackson girls lost to Cheyenne East in the opener 69-24. The Cheyenne South Bison then knocked off the Lady Broncs 54-37 the following day. Jackson dropped their final game to Natrona County 64-24 on Saturday. Both boys and girls basketball teams have identical 0-3 records and are headed next to Green River/Rock Springs for the Flaming Gorge Classic this weekend.
