Canceled flights have been plaguing holiday travelers for more than a week now, and the situation has found its way to Jackson Hole. The Jackson Hole Airport staff is assisting the air carriers with extra support wherever possible to manage these issues to the best of their abilities.
As the nation faces winter weather, COVID-related staffing shortages and airline challenges, the Jackson Hole Airport continues to collectively work with their airline partners to keep flights safely arriving and departing at the airport.
Over the past week, the Jackson Hole Airport has seen delays and cancellations due to local weather, weather in other cities, crew rest times, and other issues. While runway maintenance and security screening are the staff’s main functions, they have been stepping up and employing creative solutions to help the airlines with ground support, customer service, and many other functions across the facility.
The Airport is asking travelers to check their flight status before arriving at the airport, and then arrive two hours prior to scheduled departure times.
