The Jackson Hole Airport were presented two national awards at the International Aviation Snow Symposium held recently in Buffalo, New York.
Airport Staff attended the 53rd Annual Symposium on April 30th. And Kody Jeppson, a member of Jackson Hole Airport’s Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting team, received the Operator of the Year Award for small commercial airports. Jeppson received this award for his emphasis on safety, management and creation of training for snow plow operators, leadership attributes, extensive technical knowledge and his ability to operate any type of snow removal equipment at the airport.
The airport also received recognition as an Honorable Mention for the Bachlen/Post Award in the small commercial airport category. The Bachlen/Post Award is given to airports for their dedicated efforts in maintaining their airports in safe and operational status during the 2018-19 winter season.
Recommendations for the Bachlen/Post Award come from airport users, airlines, pilots, general aviation, the military and the aviation community.
