Jackson Hole Fire/EMS announced the promotion of Battalion Chief Brian Coe to Assistant Chief of Operations on December 23, 2024. In his new role, Coe will oversee the daily operations of the department’s Operations Division, managing a broad spectrum of emergency services including structural and wildland fire response, emergency medical services, hazardous materials, technical rescues, and training programs.
Assistant Chief Coe will also foster operational partnerships with various local, state, and federal entities to enhance the collective emergency response network in Jackson, Wyoming.
Fire Chief Mike Moyer praised Coe’s dedication, stating, “Brian Coe’s promotion to Assistant Chief reflects his commitment to both the community and the JHF/EMS team. His focus on the growth and development of our members is commendable.”
Coe began his career in fire services as a volunteer firefighter/EMT with Poudre Fire Authority in Colorado. He joined Jackson Hole Fire/EMS in 2005, initially serving as a volunteer firefighter and captain at Moran’s Station 4. He transitioned to a fire inspector role in 2007 within the Prevention Division and was promoted to Battalion Chief of Training in 2011. Since March 2024, he has been serving as the Interim Assistant Fire Chief.
Expressing his gratitude for the promotion, Assistant Chief Coe stated, “I am thankful for the opportunity to lead our Operations Division. Our team is exceptional, and I am committed to providing each member with the resources and guidance needed for success.”
A formal swearing-in ceremony for Assistant Chief Coe will take place after the holiday season.
