
On Sunday, at approximately 5:38 a.m., Teton County Emergency Dispatch received reports of a structure fire at a mixed-use building on Deer Drive in Jackson, Wyoming, which houses both residences and businesses. Jackson Hole Fire/EMS dispatched Engine 11 and Battalion Chief 1, arriving on scene by 5:47 a.m. to establish incident command and begin fire suppression efforts, according to a press release issued by Jackson Hole Fire/EMS.
The fire was brought under control by 6:03 a.m., just 25 minutes after the first responders arrived. All occupants were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The response involved 35 firefighters and 10 apparatus, with law enforcement officers assisting in the evacuation process. The swift and coordinated effort prevented further escalation and ensured the safety of residents and business occupants.
To support those displaced by the fire, Jackson Hole Fire/EMS worked with Teton County Emergency Management to arrange temporary housing and resources through the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and no further details have been released.
