Moose score dozens and dozens
The Jackson Hole Moose had little trouble with the Vail Yeti as they improved to 8-0 on the season. Jackson skaters lit the lamp a dozen times in each game as they closed out the calendar year at Snow King Sports & Event Center with a pair of easy wins.
Jackson Hole 12, Vail 5
The Moose spotted the Yeti a pair of goals to begin Friday’s contest. No problem. Jackson Hole used a deadly power play to come roaring back and take a 3-2 lead into the first intermission.
The Moose converted on 4 of their 5 man advantages while the Yeti went just 1-8 on the PP. Drew Akins (4G, 3A) enjoyed a 7-point night while linemates Stephen Miller (2G, 3A), and AJ Sanders (5 assists) also topped the scoresheet. Ryan Glantz (2G, 3A) added a pair of his own as the Moose trounced Vail.

Jackson Hole Moose were honored by a former NHL standout skating with them on Saturday. A 53rd overall pick in the 2004 draft, David Booth played with the home club. Booth spent the majority of his career with the Florida Panthers. He also had stops in Vancouver, Toronto and Detroit.
The 38-year-old pro scored a goal and had 4 assists as the Moose jumped all over the Yeti with a 5-goal 1st period. Stephen Miller notched 4 tallies Drew Akins picked up a pair to go with 3 assists, and AJ Sanders added a goal and 4 apples.
Next up
The Jackson Hole Moose head to Bozeman to play their final road games of the season on December 16-17. Jackson Hole took care of the Stingers with 8-1 and 8-4 wins at home on Nov. 25-26. The Moose return to the Snow King Sports & Event Center for a weekend against St. Louis on January 6-7.
