On a night when the Jackson Hole Moose honored a trio of legends into their new Hall of Fame, it was the visitors who stole the show.
St. Louis 7, Jackson Hole 5
The Jackson Hole Moose feted Skip Wright-Clark, Tom Evans, and Mike Sullivan at the 1st intermission where the St Louis Spirit took a 3-2 lead into the locker room in front of a record crowd at the Snow King Sports and Event Center. St. Louis tacked on 3 more in the 2nd to Jackson’s lone tally before the Moose pushed back with a pair in the 3rd to make it close.
Brad Improta enjoyed a 3-point night (1G, 2A). Ryan Glantz and AJ Sanders added a goal and assist apiece but the Spirit played a masterful road game to choke out the comeback.
St. Louis 8, Jackson 1
St. Louis again skated well Saturday night. The Spirit pressed with the forecheck, won puck battles, and took away time and space for the Moose skill players.
Trey Dodd powered St. Louis to an 8-1 win after a scoreless 1st period. AJ Sanders scored Jackson’s lone goal.
