This summer Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) and Teton Village Sports (TVS) are pleased to announce a new hiking and running summer challenge, the Trail Starts Here.  Take part in #thetrailstartshere challenge at JHMR this summer by logging runs or hikes around the resort.   Track your activities through the Strava App, and get entered to win a Grand Pass for Winter 18/19. The challenge runs now through September 15th and the end of season wrap up party takes place with raffle giveaways of over $5,000 and the Grand Pass on Tuesday, September 18th at TVS.  More details on the challenge can be found here.

“As the JHMR trail system improves and expands JHMR and TVS want to encourage visitors and locals alike to explore the trails, be active and find adventure,” stated Justin Burkhart, TVS General Manager.  With over 25 miles of single track trails and three lifts operating daily for hiking and running JHMR has a wide variety of trail options. Teton Village is also the perfect starting and ending location for longer hikes and runs into Grand Teton National Park and Bridger Teton National Forest.  The new Hoback trail which switchbacks across the width of the mountain while winding up 850 vertical feet provides stunning views of the valley and mountain terrain.  For more information on the trails and to view the trail map, click here.
Saturday, August 4th is the Rendezvous Hillclimb.  Get your Strava points towards the Trail Starts Here Challenge, and enter this annual non-profit race.  The course winds up from the base to little over 4100′ vertical in just 6.1 miles, on nearly all singletrack all the way to the summit of the Aerial Tram.  Accept the challenge and sign up today.  Click here to register.
