Six Wyoming high school students were selected as semifinalists for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, including one from Jackson Hole High School. Megan Ruth Default of Jackson, along with five other Wyoming high school seniors, were named among approximately 4,000 general program candidates nationwide who for the most part, were selected based on SAT and ACT scores. Governor Mark Gordon congratulated the six Wyoming students in the state, saying these students represent the excellence of Wyoming’s education system and have bright futures. The six will now go on to the final selection of up to 615 students who demonstrate exceptional scholarship and talent in the visual, literary, performing arts, career and technical fields.
