While the news of the massive Sears bankruptcy was not unexpected, it was painful for many around the country.
The venerable brand, once considered staple of American life, made the announcement Monday that it would enter bankruptcy and close nearly 150 Sears and Kmart stores across the country.
Sears is more than 5 billion dollars in debt.
Jackson’s Kmart is not on the list, though both a Sears and Kmart in Casper are.
No stores in Idaho were on the list and the company will continue to operate more than 650 stores nationwide.
