With news of closing Marinas in Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Lake being at a level only seen three other times in the last 30 years, it is worth noting that reservoirs throughout the Upper Snake River basin are critically low.
Some of the smallest reservoirs range from 1% filled to 95%. Currently, the Bureau of Reclamation reports Jackson Lake is now only 34% full, Palisades is at 20% of capacity, and American Falls farther downstream is only 20% of its capacity. Overall, the Upper Snake River System has 24% of its capacity remaining.
