The Town of Jackson will lift its overnight street parking ban starting April 15, 2025, for six months, following essential street sweeping operations, as outlined on April 8th. Until 12:00 a.m. on April 15th, residents are requested to keep streets clear to allow the Town’s crew to clean roads, a process vital for protecting local water quality by preventing sediment, hydrocarbons, and garbage from entering the watershed.
Street sweeping removes debris, dirt, and litter, ensuring clean streets and waterways while extending roadway longevity. Residents should keep trash cans off streets and sidewalks until 7:00 a.m. on pickup days, avoid parking on Town streets from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., and give sweepers ample space due to their size and limited visibility. The Town encourages continued cooperation during summer and fall sweeping by adjusting parking habits to maintain clean, safe streets.
