The Town of Jackson is seeking applications for the position of Municipal Judge. Current Judge Melissa Owens was appointed to the 9th Circuit by Governor Gordon, and her last day as Municipal Judge for the Town of Jackson will be January 17th. There are currently two active alternate Municipal Judges, Chris Leigh and Rick Manning, who are available to handle the workload until an appointment is made.
The Municipal Judge must be a qualified elector in Teton County, Wyoming, be an active member of the Wyoming State Bar in good standing for at least 5 years, be free from any discipline by any State Bar or State Supreme Court for 5 years, and successfully pass a criminal history check, a reference check, and a pre-employment drug screen.
Completed applications, accompanied by letters of interest, will be accepted until noon Friday, December 31st via email at rrobinson@jacksonwy.gov, or hard copy delivery to Roxanne Robinson, Deputy Town Clerk, at 150 East Pearl Avenue.
