The Jackson Police Department will be changing its procedure for releasing information to the press and public. According to a recent news release, the new method is borne out of a lot of discussion, looking for a better way to tell the department’s own story rather than have it told for them. With that in mind, they have adopted their own Press Blotter like one they had previously done for a short while, but stopped due to time constraints. The release says the new format will seek to keep it light and informative, while respecting the privacy and dignity of those involved. The document will be found on the department’s facebook page.
In the meantime, the popular Teton County Inmate List is disabled.
