The Teton County Commission, the Jackson Town Council, Teton County Health, Emergency Management met today to discuss shutting down bars and restaurants as many other towns have done in response to the coronavirus.
The Health Department’s Dr.Travis Riddell said he knew that the decision could cause an enormous impact.
Park City Utah, which has at least 6 confirmed COVID-19 cases, closed down establishments to only curbside service.
Other communities have also banned food delivery.
The officials are waiting for a determination from the state Director of Health Dr. Alexia Harrist or the Governor later today.
Mayor Pete Muldoon indicated that if the state did not act, the Town Council may decide to make the call themselves.
The Governor is planning a press conference at 330 today but it is not known whether the matter will be addressed.
