The Town of Jackson and the Jackson Hole Sports and Events Center have reached out to lend a hand to the City of Victor, Idaho after their ice resurfacer broke down and required extensive repair. The situation spelled an early end to the season at the community’s Kotler Ice Arena. However, Jackson this season had acquired a new ice resurfacer and offered to loan the Victor facility their standby unit. The machine was loaded up on a flat-bed trailer operated by Ron’s Towing and delivered to the neighboring ice arena which has gone without ice grooming for almost a week. Some events had already been canceled, but the loan of the equipment has put that community back on track for the remainder of the season. Teton Valley Foundation Executive Director Lauren Bennett responded to the news saying, “Thank goodness for great neighbors!”
