Two Jackson Hole High School students have been named to Wyoming’s All-State Orchestra and Choir after an extensive and rigorous audition process.
From the Jackson Hole High School Choir, Connor Weekes was selected as a Tenor 1 out of nearly 400 singers statewide who auditioned.
There are only 20 slots available within his section. This is Connor’s 3rd straight year being selected as an All-State musician.
From the Jackson Hole High School Orchestra, Christian Lack has been selected as an upright bass player. T
he student audition consists of a 3-octave scale, and two prepared etudes.
This year’s process was different due to COVID-19. Students recorded in their hometowns and then submitted their best recording for judging.
The audition took place in early November and was graded by the Wyoming Music Educators Association.
