Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, in collaboration with Teton County (Idaho) Fire and Rescue and Air Methods, will conduct a joint training exercise on the west side of Teton Pass in Wyoming on Wednesday evening, June 18, 2025. Announced on June 16, the exercise aims to enhance coordination and preparedness among emergency services in a realistic scenario, according to Jackson Hole Fire/EMS.
The public may notice a school bus positioned on the roadside in the days leading up to the training, as it will be used to simulate a collision and rescue scenario. On June 18, emergency vehicles and personnel will be visible in the area. Residents and visitors are advised not to be alarmed or call Teton County Emergency Dispatch, as the activity is strictly a training exercise.
Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, which serves Teton County, Wyoming, with a combination of career and volunteer firefighters, emphasized the importance of live training to maintain high standards of emergency response. The department expressed gratitude for the community’s support of these exercises, which strengthen the region’s ability to respond to real emergencies, including those in the challenging terrain near Teton Pass.
