A nosy dog made a big drug bust on interstate-80 this weekend.
On Sunday afternoon the Wyoming Highway Patrol pulled over a vehicle for a traffic stop near Elk Mountain.
Troopers observed some suspicious behavior by the driver and called in the very sensitive nose of Patrol K-9 officer “Bailey” who smelled something funny and gave a positive alert for the odor of an illegal substance.
Bailey had smelled marijuana. 221 pounds of it.
The driver was arrested and booked into the Carbon County Detention Center on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and, also, failing to maintain a single lane of travel.
