Wyoming lawmakers are extending this year’s session two days longer due to a snowstorm that shut down the state capital and the legislative session. This year’s legislative business is being conducted in both virtual and in-person sessions and was scheduled to end this Friday. The so-called “short session” had already been extended to accommodate the challenges of being conducted during the coronavirus pandemic. The session is now scheduled to conclude April 7th. The storm that effectively shut down the session for two days dumped 31 inches of snow on Cheyenne, paralyzing the city and preventing lawmakers from meeting on March 15th and 16th.
